About this Event
Join us for the Homegrown Mississauga Spring Season Gardening Workshop.
Weβll walk you through gardening fundamentals for the Spring season like crop planning, building healthy soil, seed starting and transplanting.
Emphasis will be placed on organic, sustainable gardening techniques that respond to Mississaugaβs changing climate through the promotion of healthy soil, water conservation, and other low-impact gardening.
Great for residents with limited or no gardening experience. Everyone is welcome. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
This workshop will include a hands-on gardening activity involving soil, seeds and water so please dress appropriately. Workshop participants will receive a seedling growing kit to take home.
The Spring Season Gardening Workshop is the first of our four-part Homegrown Mississauga Gardening Series. Subsequent sessions will take place throughout the year so keep an eye out for workshop dates in the summer, fall and winter!Β
