Homecoming: Infinite Blessings
The show is an exploration of feeling, colors, moods, and story. An eclectic mix of originals and re-purposed covers that create the diaspora of influence Lenka aka Yung Swan is hoping to share.
Lenka Janischova Shockley is a multi-disciplinary artist from Los Angeles, CA. Venice holds a special place in her heart and upbringing, supporting explorations of freedom, love, community and worldliness. She is a multi-ethnic citizen of the US and EU, and is multilingual, speaking English , German and Conversational French and Czech . She began her career in modeling and quickly transitioned to music. She studied at CalArts, focusing on classical and world, voice and performance. For almost a decade, she has been singing and dancing for many notable artists and bands, in studio and on tour, worldwide. Although she’s spent much of her adult life in music, she has always had an affinity for acting and theater. The two art forms coincide for her under the umbrella and overarching theme of her offerings....storytelling.
Florida Coast
This EP is my debut project and the first project I’ve released. It really is a coming of age EP, and covers the topics of my mom and her passing (Florida Coast), coercion in the entertainment industry (Wake Up), SA and abuse (Freeze), and on to lighter topics in Paralyzed and Fun and Games.
