The laughs are coming to Auburn when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage in the speakeasy at Pr*son City Brewery on Thursday, May 7. Alex Grubard is headlining and Joshua Lay and host Mike Peters will be there, too.
Tickets are $5 and available online now. Seating at the State Street location begins at 5 p.m., and the show starts at 7. A limited dinner menu is available.
Only 50 tickets are available. No reservations will be taken.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
Joshua Lay is a stand-up comedian and writer. An Oklahoma native, he’s a New Jersey transplant who entertains audiences with his introspective humor and musings on life. He performed in the Jersey City Comedy Festival, the NY Comedy Mob Festival and the Blue Whale Comedy Festival. You can see him perform regularly in the tri-state area.
Alex Grubard is a stand-up comedian and friendly American living in New Jersey. His first album, “Let Me Teach You How To Distill Gin,” was released on Helium Comedy Records in 2021. Grubard is the host and creator of Weeding Out The Stoned, which has toured the country to rave reviews. He’s performed sketch comedy on Comedy Central, stand-up on mtvU and heard on SiriusXM. Grubard has been in several comedy festivals, comedy competitions and social gatherings with some of the biggest comedians working today.
