The Everett Chorale, together with our sister organization, the Snohomish County Youth Chorus, and accompanied by the Everett Chorale Celtic Players, proudly presents the second concert of our 60th anniversary season, "Home in the Highlands." This spirited program features music rooted in the traditions of Ireland and Scotland, performed by both adult and youth choirs, and celebrates our upcoming 13-day tour of those countries. Highlights include Loch Lomond, Only Time (Enya), A Gaelic Blessing (John Rutter), selections from The Black Velvet Band, and a setting of "The Lake Isle of Innisfree." The Youth Chorus will perform favorites such as The Rattlin' Bog, Mairi's Wedding, and Siúil a Rúin. The concert also includes selections reflecting the broader theme of "home," including Steal Away.

About Snohomish County Youth Chorus
The Snohomish County Children's Choir was founded in 1999 by local music teacher Shelly Logan to provide a challenging setting for outstanding young singers to further their choral education. Upon Mrs. Logan's retirement in 2014, SCCC became a branch of the Everett Chorale Association, and in 2016 became the Snohomish County Youth Chorus. Today, SCYC is a not-for-profit, non-auditioned community youth chorus dedicated to the artistic and personal development of all children and youth who love to sing. Our goal is to offer affordable, high-quality vocal instruction to young people residing in Snohomish County and beyond.
