About this Event
Join Crop & Kettle's Agricultural Instructor, Alixandria Clark, over the course of the coming season to learn tips and tricks for your home garden in a fun and informative series of workshops for gardeners of all levels!
Alix is an experienced organic farmer with a degree in Conservation Biology from Thiel College and certifications in Permaculture Design through work-study programs in Costa Rica and Kalu Yala, Panama, in addition to farm safety certifications from Penn State University.
Together, with additional local experts who will make periodic guest appearnces, she's prepared a series of fun, hands-on tutorials to help home-gardeners get the most out of their space and enjoy vibrant harvests year after year!
Workshops will be held on the Third Wednesday of each month from 5-7pm, beginning on April 16th and concluding on October 15th for a total of 7 sessions.
Topics over the course of the year will include:
- Planning & Mapping Your Garden (APR)
- Seeding & Germination (MAY)
- Transplanting & Up-Potting (JUN)
- Pest & Disease Management (JUL)
- Soil Health, Fertilization, and Composting (AUG)
- Harvesting (SEP)
- Cover Crops, Season Extension, and Garden Close-Out (OCT)
Tickets are available for each workshop individually OR as a collective package.
