Home Education session - Natural weaving and a bit of foraging

A wonderful 2 hour session in a specious and safe woodland, 2 minutes walk from the car park and visitor centre at Shirebrook Valley Nature Reserve.
We will be looking at ways of weaving with different natural materials - as well as a walk around to see what is growing and see what we can forage.
This workshop will be curated to appeal to ages 5 years up to 15 years but children under 5 welcome too. The emphasis will be on the leaf ID and foraging but there will be other nature crafts and activities to access throughout.
Warm drinks will be available for children and a snack.
* We will meet at Shirebrook Nature Reserve Car Park, Stone Lane, S13 7BR.
* There is safe bike storage available.
* The bus stop is a 10 minute walk to Shirebrook Nature Reserve car park. The number 7 runs every 30 minutes among others. Look to get off the bus just after Woodhouse West Primary School and before Woodhouse (see attachment) and look for the lane and signage down to Shirebrook Nature Res.
* There are welfare facilities on site which can be used throughout the session.
* Please check the weather and wear clothing suitable for the conditions. If rain is forecast, a shelter will be put in place.
* The session will run in all weathers with the exception of high winds or continuous driving rain. In which case it will be rescheduled / refunds offered.
* Feel free to bring your own snacks or drinks.
**Cancellation policy - refunds will be offered up to 24 hours before cancellation. To cancel, please email or message Woodland Wellbeing via whatapp, messaging, instagram, facebook or email.
