Join us for a Holyrood litter pick and election manifesto handover to MSPs!
About this Event

With the 2026 Scotland election approaching, we’re taking our Scotland Manifesto in person to MSPs outside Holyrood on Tuesday 17th February. We would love for you to join us, and help to convince the next Scottish Government to put ending sewage and plastic pollution at the top of their agenda!

11:00–12:00 Holyrood Million Mile Clean. We’ll kick things off with a litter pick from Holyrood, and to the surrounding streets and Holyrood park.

12:00-2:00 A quick pic, and manifesto handover. At 12, we’ll assemble back in front of Scottish Parliament for a quick picture together, dressed as water users! Then, we’ll be handing our manifestos to MSPs and speaking to them about what we want to see from the next Scottish Government. Please feel free to bring any letters, art or messages that you would like to share too.

To dress as a water user, please bring whatever represents how you use the water, if you’re able to. This might be a wetsuit, life jacket, board, goggles, or a paddle. Whether you can come by for the whole thing, or just briefly, we hope to see you there!

This is a critical year for Scottish water policy, and we hope this will be a chance for a fun community event as the election excitement builds, and a chance to engage directly with decision-makers to implore them to protect the seas, lochs, and rivers they love!
