Holy Thursday invites us into the Upper Room, where Jesus gathered with his disciples to celebrate the Passover meal. On this night, Jesus took familiar elements of the bread and cup, and gave them new meaning, saying, “This is my body, broken for you,” and “This is my blood, shed for you.” In doing this, Jesus offered his disciples (and us!) a tangible way to remember his love, sacrifice, and presence. We gather on Holy Thursday because this moment is foundational to our faith. It is the night Jesus gave us the gift of Holy Communion, a sacred practice through which we remember Christ’s life, death, and promise to be with us still.
You are invited to join us for this sacred worship service beginning at 7 p.m. on April 2 in the Weddington Sanctuary, as we remember the Last Supper and share Holy Communion together.
Nursery care will be available for children ages 9 and under beginning at 6:45 p.m.
