Great Vigil of Easter
By ancient tradition our celebration of Easter begins at sunset on Holy Saturday at 7:30pm, as we light the paschal fire and hear the ancient hymn known as the Exsultet. Our vigil readings take us through the whole of salvation history, from the creation of the world to the day the women found the tomb empty on Easter Day. We celebrate Holy Baptism and the first Holy Eucharist of Easter. This is arguably the most theologically significant service of our entire Christian year and is not to be missed.
