Join us at St. Elmo UMC for a gentle time of reflection, prayer, and shared presence as we slow down and notice what is real within and around us.

Event Description

On Holy Saturday, April 4, you are invited to gather at St. Elmo United Methodist Church for a quiet time of reflection and shared presence. Holy Saturday lives in the space between Good Friday and Easter morning—a sacred pause in the story of our faith.

In the midst of busy lives, we rarely make space to sit with what is real within us. Whether you come carrying a particular burden, holding questions, or simply sensing a weight you cannot yet name, this gathering offers a gentle place to slow down and reflect.

If you are not in a difficult season, you are still warmly invited. Showing up in mindful presence can be a meaningful act of care for the community.

Participants are welcome to explore reflective practices at their own pace, including silence, prayer stations, and creative reflection. A simple meal of soup, bread, and water will be available throughout the event.

Trained spiritual companions will be present to answer questions, listen, or pray with anyone who desires conversation or support. Come for a short while or stay longer. All are welcome.

Info: Welcome, introductions of spiritual companions. We will spend some time talking about how one could approach each of the station.

Info: Participants are invited to explore the prayer and reflection stations at their own pace. You are welcome to engage with any or all of the practices as you feel led, allowing yourself the freedom to move through the space in whatever way is most meaningful for you. A spiritual companion will be in the general area to answer any questions you may have about the practice.

A simple, self-serve lunch will also be available. Please feel free to visit the lunch area whenever it feels appropriate during your time with us.
