Mater Dei Parish invites you to “Holy Ground: A Lenten Retreat” Saturday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 1212 Morningside Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa.Discipleship Coordinator, Fred Shellabarger, will be joined by Father Mark Beran, pastor, Holy Apostles Family of Parishes and St. Augustine Indian Mission, in Winnebago, Nebraska.
“Inspired by Moses' encounter with God at the burning bush,” Shellabarger said, “this retreat encourages each of us to pause, recognize the holy ground in our lives, and respond to God's call with openness and trust.”
Through prayer, reflection, and fellowship, the retreat provides you an opportunity to step away from the busyness of life and rediscover the beauty of a life rooted in Christ.
The retreat is open to all adults—Mater Dei parishioners and Catholics from any parish, who are seeking spiritual renewal and a deeper connection with Christ.
There is no fee for the retreat.
Lunch will be provided. In the spirit of Lent, a simple soup and sandwich will be provided. You can bring your own brown bag lunch if you prefer.
