Holocaust Remembrance Day: From Generation to GenerationDate: Saturday, May 4
Location: Sanctuary of Temple Adas Shalom, 8 N Earlton Rd Ext. Havre de Grace, MD 21078
Join Temple Adas Shalom in commemorating Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah). Experience the resilience of our Jewish ancestors, passed down from generation to generation (Le’dor Va’dor). Amidst uncertain times, let us instill this same resilience in our youth and future leaders.
Never again is NOW. Join us on Saturday, May 4th at 6pm in the Sanctuary for a special program featuring the survival story of Otto August, recounted by his granddaughter, Ashira Quabili. Led by Rabbi Meeka Simerly, the program will include contributions from the Temple's Youth Group, congregational choir, and our featured guest speaker.
This free event is open to the public and is suitable for ages 9 to 99+. Parents may bring children at their discretion. Join us for a Candle Lighting Remembrance Ceremony, accompanied by music, poetry, and a detailed look into one survivor’s unique story.
