Hollywood Guardians Reef Swim & Broadwalk Pub Crawl
– Saturday, Late April(date may change) = best visibility & weather: Join us on a spring Saturday for a swim-out adventure to Hollywood’s new nearshore artificial reefs, followed by a laid-back pub crawl along the Broadwalk.
☆ We’ll meet on the sand directly in front of the main nearshore reef cluster (exact tower/block to be confirmed once the reef map is posted) at 2:00 PM, do a safety brief, then swim as a group out to the reef modules for a guided look at the sculptures and marine life in about 10 feet of water.
☆ After the reef session and swim back in, we’ll towel off and roll right into a short Hollywood Broadwalk pub crawl, hitting a few classic spots for drinks, snacks, and socializing as the sun goes down.
☆ Plan to be ocean-ready (mask, snorkel, fins strongly recommended, reef-safe sunscreen) and comfortable swimming in open water; you’re responsible for your own gear and safety in the water.
☆ Proposed schedule (adjust times as you like):
2:00 PM – Beach meet-up and check-in on Hollywood Beach at the main nearshore reef site
2:15 PM – Safety talk and route overview
2:30–3:30 PM – Group swim out to the reef and snorkel session
3:30–4:00 PM – Swim back in, rinse, and regroup on the sand
4:00 PM–6:00 PM – Short pub crawl down the Broadwalk (several bars within easy walking distance)
