Join us for our 2025 Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Park Square on Friday, December 5, at 6pm as part of Downtown Pittsfield, Inc.'s Festive Frolic!The Pittsfield High School Chorus will perform a variety of carols around 5:45pm before the ceremony begins, and Santa & Mrs. Claus will arrive following the tree lighting.
Additionally, two artists, Peter Vacchina and Robert Markey, will be creating holiday-themed ice sculptures in the park during the event. Their live ice sculpting will start before the ceremony and continue throughout the evening for attendees to watch, subject to favorable weather conditions.
Lipton Market will be providing free hot chocolate and coffee in Park Square during the event. Otto’s Kitchen & Comfort will also host a free Hot Chocolate Bar and photos with the Grinch inside their restaurant located at 95 East Street.
Those planning to attend the ceremony are asked to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Christian Center’s food pantry.
