This Christmas, may the darkness in our livesBe illuminated by the Child within
Let Love be born, may true Compassion reign
Unloose the chains that shackle us to sin
May fear, despair, division, doubt and pain
Be supplanted with simplicity and faith
Let distrust of one another be replaced
With empathy, forgiveness, hope and grace
May our circle of communion Be enlarged
To encompass all that live and breathe and feel
The creatures of the wood, the sea and sky
Each tree and trembling flower of the field
That all creation may be joined in sweet accord
In unity and peace forevermore more!
