About this Event
Turning Wheels for Kids, a program of Valley Health Foundation, is thrilled to announce the 2024 Holiday Bike Build on December 7th at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds Pavilion Hall! This year, our goal is to build 500 bikes for low-income kids in our community.
We believe that bicycles have the power to transform lives. They offer children a fun way to stay active, supporting their health through regular exercise, while also providing a means of transporation and a gateway to exciting new adventures. You support helps to build a stronger, healthier community!
Here's how you can get involved:
Volunteer as a Quality Control Mechanic: You’ll be part of a special team dedicated to ensuring that every bike we build meets our high standards before distribution. Your role involves checking each bike for safety and functionality, making any necessary adjustments, and ensuring that every child receives a reliable, well-built bike. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in our initiative’s success. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for helping others, join us as a Quality Control Mechanic and make a lasting impact in our community!
Make a Donation: To help cover event costs and ensure the beloved Holiday Bike Build continues, we kindly ask you to consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps us provide bikes to children this holiday season. A gift of $200 will cover the cost of a bike, helmet, and lock for a child in our community.
