About the Artist
Jana Rolland is a Vancouver-based visual artist whose practice explores the passage of time through the natural world. Working primarily in oil painting, she uses exaggerated colour and form to reconstruct fleeting memories and landscapes.
Through vivid colour and fluid forms, Rolland reimagines scenes drawn from travels across the Pacific Northwest—moments shaped by shifting seasons, changing light, and time spent in close connection with others. These works blur the line between the real and the remembered while acknowledging their constant transformation.
