Welcome to Hobbywhores - the Women's Institute for degenerates. A place for like-minded, crisp-loving, sweary ladies to learn stuff, chat, dance, and have a drink (or 10).Heating is expensive, so come to Mandela Hall for the Hobbywhores Christmas Shindig and allow the glow of collective hot flushes to warm the cockles of your heart. Gather your gal pals and get a Chrimbo catch-up without the horror of traipsing round the city whilst office blokes shout "yeeeeeow" and pish up walls.
We are all long enough in the tooth to know that Christmas can be a melt, so take a wee night for yourself (and maybe book the morning/day after off all your responsibilities). We'll have weird and wonderful speakers, live music, a terrible DJ set from yours truly, and OF COURSE the majesty, mystery and pure bollocks that is the Advent Calendar of Doom!
And you'll be home shortly after midnight, full of pickled onion Space Raiders and pure joy.
Regulars will know that we don't announce our line-up until the week before the gig but you can be guaranteed there will be madness, music, and a lorra, lorra laughs - all under the guise of us learning something.
