Street skaters this is the second Christmas dress-up street skate. This year - weather permitting, we will be having two Christmas skates, so if you can't make this one then we also have one on the 14th.For this event, we will meet from 5:30 for a 6:30 start from the Newcastle west end Honeysuckle Carpark ( Ex Covid Carpark) near Newcastle Interchange.
The proposed route will take us along Honeysuckle Queens Wharf path to Nobby's carpark where we will re-group and then continue onto Nobby's breakwall path, Newcastle Baths, Newcastle Beach, Newcastle Station, Civic Station, Honeysuckle waterfront and back to West end carpark.
This will be a slow paced event and we want to keep the group together to maximise our impression to the public.
You will need street skate experience for this event and highly recommend you wear safety gear, outdoor wheels and note that you skate at your own risk.
There will be road crossings, uneven paths, slight inclines and muggles that might get in your way.
Suggest also bring head torch as we will be finishing after dusk and some areas may be a bit dark.
