About this Event

Unveiled in 2024, this cutting-edge Simulation Center elevates training and education. The Donate Eight Simulation Center, located at the LiveOnNY Headquarters in Queens, is state-of-the-art and advances excellence in organ donor care through trainings for LiveOnNY clinical and field staff and education for the public on the lifesaving process of organ donation. The Center includes a fully equipped mock Operating Room and mock Intensive Care Unit designed to train employees in donor case management within a controlled and immersive environment. To date, LiveOnNY has welcomed hundreds of visitors, including high school and college students, state representatives, and many others. The Simulation Center has become an incredible resource – not only for training our staff, but also as a highly effective tool for community education. Guests will be led on a comprehensive tour of the Simulation Center and LiveOnNY’s Kidney Rescue Area, followed by a didactic session where guests will be provided with a comprehensive overview of the organ donation process, and listen to guest speakers share their personal experiences with organ donation. Food will be provided
