Dear HLCO Supporter, We had a great talk about the Aurorae from Mark and Terry at December's get together, followed by Colin's ingenious Christmas quiz (copies are available for those who missed it or want to relive the experience)! To kick off the New Year, Mark returns with his presentation entitled “Things that go ‘Bump’ in the Dark”.
This will be the story behind the ‘Blaze Star’, better known perhaps as T Coronar Borealis. This object is one of a family of long period variable stars, whose rise will be spectacular when it finally goes off!
Please join us this Thursday, 9th January at St John's Church Room (WA16 6ND) from 7:15pm. To avoid delays please be prompt - the talk will start at 7:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there! Adults: £4 donation and free for accompanied under-18s.
