We are back!!!The approximately 16.5-mile float trip begins in the beautiful river town of Henry, Illinois, where participants will enjoy a light breakfast and snacks before launching. Paddlers will travel downstream to Lacon for a light lunch stop, then continue on to Chillicothe, where the day concludes with a boxed dinner, dessert and raffles, at Shore Acres Park.
To make the experience easy and enjoyable, participants may park their vehicles at Shore Acres Park in Chillicothe, where shuttle transportation will be provided to the starting point in Henry.
“This event is about more than paddling,” said organizers with the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce. “It’s an opportunity to experience the beauty of the Illinois River, connect with the community, and support local organizations that make our towns stronger.”
