Kelli C. Fleming is a partner with Burr & Forman, LLP in Birmingham, Alabama, and practices exclusively in the firm's Health Care Industry Group. Kelli represents physician practices, hospitals, surgery centers, diagnostic centers, long-term care facilities, and home health and hospice agencies. Mrs. Fleming assists her health care clients in all aspects of their practice, including licensure and certificate of need issues, contract drafting and negotiation, fraud and abuse compliance, Medicare/Medicaid regulatory guidance, HIPAA compliance, third-party payor audits, employment matters, and various other corporate and regulatory matters. Kelli is a contributing writing to the Birmingham Medical News and often speaks to various organizations on health care topics. Kelli has been named a Health Care Rising Star and a Top 40 Under 40 by the Birmingham Business Journal, a Top Attorney by Birmingham Magazine, 2024 Lawyer of the Year for Healthcare by the Best Lawyers in America, and a Chambers USA Leading Practitioner in Health Care. Kelli lives in Birmingham with her husband, Bains, and her two girls, Ann Clark (10) and Walton (9).
Jessie is an Associate in the firm's Health Care Practice Group.
Jessie's practice focuses on corporate and regulatory matters, including Anti-Kickback and Stark compliance, general employment matters, contract drafting and transactions. She assists physician practices, hospitals, long-term care providers, surgery centers, home health agencies, laboratories and medical device clients in achieving their goals.
Jessie graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Law and the Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice, where she earned a law degree and a master's in health administration. During her time at Saint Louis University, Jessie was a member of the Health Law Association and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Saint Louis University Journal of Health Law & Policy. Her article, titled “Finding the Cluster: Balancing Privacy and Public Health Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic,” was published in Volume 15, Issue 1 of the Saint Louis University Journal of Health Law & Policy.
Prior to receiving her J.D. and M.H.A, Jessie worked as the health care reporter for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Jessie received her B.A. in Journalism with minors in Public Health and Spanish Studies from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
