This engaging HIV and Ethics training is designed to equip professionals with current knowledge and practical tools to deliver informed, ethical, and inclusive care. The first half of the day provides a clear, up-to-date overview of HIV transmission and prevention, effective best practices for supporting individuals living with HIV and substance use disorders, and key statistics and trends specific to North Carolina. The second half offers an in-depth, affirming exploration of LGBTQIA+ identities, culturally responsive best practices for working with LGBTQIA+ individuals impacted by substance use disorders, and essential ethical considerations for providing competent, respectful counseling services.
