Regina Burns will share the hidden history of the nation's first African American barber college chain. The Tyler Barber College Chain was founded by Texas African American millionaire Henry Miller Morgan during Jim Crow segregation. Morgan opened schools across the country and enabled his students to carve out a slice of the American dream. Morgan's barber college chain trained 80 percent of the nation’s Black barbers during Jim Crow segregation, and enabled them to enjoy some measure of economic justice.
