Muddy Waters was among the Blues stars that found the Lansing area very much to his liking, performing many times at area venues. Join the Historical Society of Greater Lansing for a presentation on the Blues at 6:30pm. This event is slated to be held at the Rogers-Carrier House on the campus of Lansing Community College. This program is being presented by longtime Lansing resident and former member of the board of the Capital Area Blues Society, Ron Eggleston. Ron will detail how CABS aided in the Blues resurgence of the 1990's, regularly drawing the likes of Sippie Wallace, Brownie McGhee, James Harman and more to the Green Door, Jambalaya's, Capitol Hill Station and other such venues. Items on display include some posters created by legendary Lansing artist, Dennis Preston.
Make plans to attend this VERY special presentation. A copy of the presentation will be available to the first 60 in attendance, so come early for that and a good seat. This is a FREE event!
