Join us this summer for History Happy Hour on the patio at the Minnesota History Center—a lively evening series that brings Minnesota history to life.Kick off our summer series with Skally Line. The Skally Line steams its way through the curves and bends of early American music—stringband blues, Appalachian ballads, fiddle tunes, early country and bluegrass, and Tin Pan Alley songs. Along the way, they share forgotten stories from old Minnesota, play original music rooted in that history, and have a rip-roaring good time.
The Skally Line’s lineup features Fred Keller (mandolins), Dave Tousley (bass and vocals), and Bill Cagley (guitar, banjo, and limberjack). Together, they create an immersive experience through old-time music and song, with a focus on Minnesota history and storytelling.
Gates open at 6 pm with a cash bar and food truck on site. The performance begins at 6:30 pm.
Cost is $15 per person.
