About this Event

Wine Australia and the Court of Master Sommeliers Oceania are proud to co-present the ‘History, Evolution and Revolution’ masterclass for sommeliers in Sydney this March.

Join us for a deep dive into the history, evolution and revolution of Australian wine led by a highly knowledgeable panel of experts: Paolo Saccone (Lucas Collective), Dorianne Neimard (merivale) and Kati Vainionpää (Wine Australia).

Taste classic and premium Australian wines from Tahbilk ‘1927 Vines’ Marsanne, to Langmeil ‘Freedom 1843’ Shiraz and Bekkers McLaren Vale Grenache, before delving into the evolution of Australian winemaking. The session will conclude with a look at the revolution of avant-garde Australian winemaking talent, featuring wines such as Timo Mayer Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

This masterclass is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of Australian wine alongside some of Sydney’s most respected wine industry professionals. This masterclass is free to attend, however bookings are essential as places are strictly limited.

This masterclass is open to all sommeliers and beverage professionals aged 18+.
