Kennard State Historic Site, home of Nebraska’s first Secretary of State, on June 1 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Learn about Kennard’s life and journey to Nebraska, the vision behind constructing such a grand residence, and the artifacts recovered through archeological excavations on the property. Guests will explore artifacts uncovered at the site and gain a deeper understanding of the history preserved within Lincoln’s oldest remaining building in the original plat.Admission to the event is free.
