The I.M. Pei designed City Hall, was his first civic/governmental building. Completed in 1978, it became a landmark along with the J Erik Jonnson building which was patterned after City Hall. Now, there is movement to "sale" the building to the Mavericks to increase programming of events to boost revenue. Veletta Lill and Marcel Quimby are discussing the preservation movement of City Hall and declaring it a historic landmark. This is the people's city hall.
