Are you interested in local history? Do you enjoy learning about cemeteries? Have you ever wondered who is buried in the Marysville City Cemetery? Then join us for this Historic Marysville City Cemetery Book Talk by two local authors, Phyllis E. Smith and Victoria M. Tudor. The Historic Marysville City Cemetery contains the graves of city founders, politicians, Western heroes, bandits, a survivor of the Donner Party; the brother of the founder of Macy’s department store; and a former minister to Japan! Tudor and Smith have worked on the book for many years; along with the preservation of the Cemetery. Tudor has coordinated headstone repairs while Smith has digitized the handwritten book of burials (covering the years of 1870 to 1930). Learn more about the history of the cemetery, the ladies' journey in writing, and the influential figures buried there at this book talk on Friday, December 12th, from 10-11AM in the Wheatland Room. No registration necessary! If you have a copy of the book, bring it in to have it signed!
