In 1965, the Orangetown Town Board adopted the map outlining the Tappan Historic Area. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of this important milestone, we present this Historic Homes & Landmarks Tour of Tappan in partnership with the Tappantown Historical Society.
The house tour will be a self-guided walking tour on which a number of houses and other significant buildings within the Tappan Historic Area will be open to the public. The tour both promotes this Orangetown community and its historic importance to Rockland County and announces events celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026.

Proceeds from the tour benefit the Historical Society of Rockland County and the Tappantown Historical Society (www.Tappantown.org). All participants will pick up their tickets at the DeWint House, Oak Tree Road and Livingston Street, Tappan, NY 10983, on October 4, 2025, the day of the house tour.
