About this Event
Start and Finish: The walk will start at the Oculus at the World Trade Center, proceed over the Brooklyn Bridge, and finish in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn where you can take the subway back to the start or wherever you need to go.
Distance: Approximately 20 miles.
Where to find us: Meet in the lower level of the Oculus in front of the APPLE STORE.
Bathrooms: There are bathrooms at the Oculus and at various points along the walk in commercial establishments and in parks.
NO Dog policy: We love the pups but NOT on our walks..
Terrain: Sidewalks on city streets except for the paved trail in Prospect Park.
Food/Drink: You can bring your own food and drink or purchase along the way as we will pass a number of stores and restaurants. Near the end of the walk you may wish to stop at L&B Spumoni Gardens for its famous pizza.
Difficulty: Moderate, given the length not the terrain. Given the length of the walk and different walking speeds, the group may not stay together. Route maps with turn by turn directions together with historic site descriptions will be available.
