About La Alianza Latina Commission
In October 2022, the County Executive and the County Council voted to establish La Alianza Latina Commission in order to continuing the work of advancing policy and systemic change for the uplift of Latino families, businesses, and residents. The Commission consists of 16 voting members and 2 student non-voting members. Each appointed member was appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council. La Alianza Latina Commission meets bi-monthly beginning on January 24, 2023.
En octubre de 2022, el Ejecutivo del Condado y el Consejo del Condado votaron para establecer la Comisión La Alianza Latina con el fin de continuar el trabajo de promover políticas y cambios sistémicos para mejorar las familias, empresas y residentes latinos. La Comisión está formada por 16 miembros con derecho a voto y 2 miembros estudiantes sin derecho a voto. Cada miembro designado fue nombrado por el Ejecutivo del Condado y confirmado por el Consejo del Condado. La Comisión de La Alianza Latina se reúne bimestralmente a partir del 24 de enero de 2023.
About the Howard County Office of Human Rights and Equity
The Howard County Office of Human Rights and Equity is an entity of the Howard County Government that seeks to eradicate discrimination, increase equal opportunity, and protect and promote Human Rights in the county. The Office serves as a catalyst in fostering attitudes and beliefs among Howard County residents which confirm that all individuals have an equal opportunity to enjoy a wholesome and productive quality of life and can pursue their lives free of discrimination.
