Something a bit different to celebrate one of Glasgow's toppermost musical achievements in an embarrassment of riches - the Glasgow Jazz Festival, 40 years young in 2026. A full weekend of superb jazz, Latin, soul and funk on original vinyl and in person downstairs in this great basement venue near George Square.
Very special guest DJ Dean Rudland (Acid Jazz Records, London) joins myself (Martin) & Steven Watt on the decks Saturday, along with live jazz (yes actual musicians!) in the shape of Glasgow's own 'modernist' and respected multi-instrumentalist, Tom MacNiven and his Quartet, for the Friday night: again Steven and I will be playin' tunes. It's taken quite a bit of pulling together, so please support our tribute to Glasgow Jazz Festival. A one off, never repeated weekend of modtasticsouljazz!
