𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗡 (SAD)
Water Is The Sun je eksperimentalni glazbeni projekt koji djeluje na granici ambijenta, drona, eksperimentalne elektronike i ritualne folk-glazbe. Njihova glazba je spora, hipnotična i vrlo atmosferična, često građena od dugih tonova, ponavljajućih motiva i slojeva zvuka. U njihovim skladbama mogu se čuti utjecaji dark ambijenta, new agea, eksperimentalne scene i meditativnog folk-pjevanja. Rezultat je zvuk koji djeluje poput filmske glazbe ili zvučnog pejzaža, više usmjeren na atmosferu nego na klasične pjesme.
Kritičari Water Is The Sun opisuju ao spoj apstraktne zvučne improvizacije i meditativnih, gotovo sakralnih pjesama. Njihova glazba često se inspirira prirodom, duhovnim iskustvima i zvučnim pejzažima. Ideja je stvoriti prostor između eksperimentalne elektronike i univerzalne, gotovo ritualne glazbene forme. Svoj prvi studijski materijal su objavili 2021. godine, a u Močvaru dolaze kako bi promovirali novi album “Ritual Fever” koji će biti objavljen za Trome Records.
I za kraj, najbolje je Water Is The Sun opisati njihovim riječima. Na svojoj su stranici poetski objasnili svoj zvuk:
“There are moments of silent depth in which the winter of the scalpel of meaning and the spring of the sound-born, unleashed body look upon the world fully present. When the notes at last are heard, the ordered world is their indistinguishable score. The ritual of process is that which carries. The process of ritual is that which brings moments both transitory and immortal, apprehended by musician, seer, clairvoyant, herald; the welling tones that emanate from the crystal salt of shattered primordial sea; the melody that creeps unheard from unseen distance across the desert blaze; the hymns that blare in whispers from mountain peak and valley depth, beams of their power streaming into the ordered world, in confluence with body, voice and soul, dissolving it again and again.”
