3.05-3.55 pm: The Little Mountain Trio is Kitty King (bass), Dave Lidstone (guitar) and Rob McGregor (mandolin). After decades of searching for great songs, the band plays music from a wide variety of styles including bluegrass, country, folk and jazz. Original songs by Kitty and instrumental tunes by Rob complete the repertoire. All three members are soulful lead singers and the trio features three part
harmony vocals on songs that will touch your heart or make you want to get up and dance.
4.10-5 pm: Honeybear is a soul, funk, blues & roots quartet, taking you on an old school road trip through the dusty back roads of American music. While Honeybear is a relatively new band formed in 2023, the 4 band members are old friends and have been playing together in other formations for over a decade, crossing paths on tours across Canada, down the West Coast, and beyond. When the pandemic struck and live music was at a standstill, the 4 friends found themselves jamming outdoors in parks, with amps and PA's hooked up to jerry rigged motorcycle batteries, just to bask in the joy that is playing live music with like minded souls. Necessity is the mother of invention, etc. The rest is history.
Band members have toured and recorded with acts such as award winning soul artist “Dawn Pemberton”, Canadian Maple Blues Award winning artist “Harpdog Brown”, "Daniel Wesley", two-time Juno Awards nominee & Western Canadian Music Awards Blues Artist of the Year, "Ndidi Onukwulu", and many more.
Fun fact: Keyboard player Mike Kenney has the distinction of playing more sold out shows at Rogers Arena than any other musician – as the organ player for the Vancouver Canucks!
