The Hines family—Brian, Bobbi, Kaitlyn, and Ava— has spent the past year navigating a life-changing medical journey that has reshaped every part of their world. On April 10th, 2025, Bobbi underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor, a moment that marked the beginning of a long and difficult road to recovery. What followed were multiple surgeries, unexpected complications, and countless days in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation settings. Today, Bobbi resides at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home, where she requires around-the-clock care. Each day is dedicated to relearning the most basic life skills—walking, feeding, communicating, and performing everyday tasks many people take for granted. The financial strain of long-term medical care is immense. Between ongoing therapies, adaptive equipment, home modifications, lost income, and rising medical bills, the burden has grown beyond what one family can carry alone. In response, the community is coming together to lift up the Hines family in the same way they have lifted others for years. Brian, a dedicated teacher and coach at Albany High School and Bobbi working in healthcare, together have impacted many lives.
