About this Event
Sangam is a social and cultural organisation created for the Indian community in the UK. Sangam aims to promote Indian culture, literature, and languages across the UK and has been active since 2017. Sangam organises webinars, seminars, Indian festivals, and many other events to help spread a positive message and help foster a feeling of community among Indians in the U.K.
To celebrate ‘Vishwa Hindi Divas or World Hindi Day’, Sangam is organising a ‘Hindi Kavi Sammelan’ in association with the Indian High Commission of India, The Nehru Centre and the Rashtriya Kavi Sangam of India. The Rashtriya Kavi Sangam is one of the most respected and popular associations of Hindi poets and writers in India. The purpose of this ‘Kavi Sammelan’ is to promote Hindi language and Indian literature.
Around12 highly accomplished and most respected Hindi poets and writers from the UK will take part in this beautiful event. Some of the participants include Dr Nandita Sahu (HCI), Tejendra Sharma MBE, Ravi Sharma, Shikha Varshney, Nikhil Kaushik (Welsh), Ashish Mishra, Gyan Sharma, Ajay Tripathi (Birmingham), Indu Barot, Ashutosh Kumar, Tithi Dani and Richa Jain.
