Himalayan Thangka Exhibition | BTSAN PO
BTSAN PO is a Himalayan cultural space located on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Surrounded by its signature red walls, we are pleased to present a special Thangka exhibition.
This exhibition features a curated selection of Thangka paintings from the Nepalese painting tradition, along with several representative works from other Himalayan artistic styles. Each tradition reflects its own distinctive approach to composition, line work, and color.
If you have never seen an authentic Thangka painting up close, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience this remarkable artistic tradition in person.
During the exhibition, visitors are invited to explore the art of Thangka in a quiet and contemplative space in the heart of the city.
Selected Thangka works will also be available for collection during the exhibition.

The opening event will include a guided introduction to Thangka painting, exploring its history and the stylistic characteristics of different painting traditions.
