Ladakh, at the south-eastern edge of the Karakoram Range in the upper Indus River valley, not much smaller than Scotland, bordered by Tibet, Xinjiang, and Northern Pakistan and boasting some of the most breathlessly beautiful mountain scenery on the planet, with motorable passes of record-breaking heights, ancient Tibetan highland monasteries, colourful Buddhas looking out over moonscape landscapes of dunes, double-humped camels, and lowland orchard valleys.At the lowest points of the valley are cold desert dunes dotted with Bactrian camels, native only to this region and originally used as the main mode of transportation when Ladakh was an important stopover on the ancient trade routes of Central Asia.
Pangong Lake, which derives its name from the Tibetan words for “high grassland lake”, made famous by its technicolour’s of red, blue, and green as well as the many Bollywood movies filmed here! With a sunset planned, we’ll watch the colours change from our lakeside campsite.
And to reach the Nubra Valley requires a traverse through some of the highest motorable passes in the world, at 5360 meters each, Chang-La and Khardung-La boast temples and shrines for those with the bravado to pass by.

Day 0: Departure
Meeting at airport for a flight to Leh via Delhi.
Day 1: Arrival in Leh
Transfer to the hotel and begin acclimatizing. In the afternoon, we will take a trip to Shanti Stupa and explore the town for some Tibetan handicrafts. Spend the remainder of the afternoon exploring the area before returning to the hotel for dinner and a good night's rest.
Day 2: Local Sightseeing (Bike Ride starts)
Today will be an easy day for further acclimatization as we take a first ride in the mountains. We will ride towards the west of Ladakh. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 3: Nubra Valley
Today, we embark on a journey to the sky through the breathtaking passes and changing landscapes of the Nubra Valley. We will drive along the world's highest road at 5360m, Khardung-La, and enjoy the diverse landscapes as we descend to the white Nubra sand dunes. We will make a stop at the Diskit Monastery, which features an impressive colorful Buddha statue overlooking the valley. After a long day, we will have well deserved dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 4: Pangong Lake via Shayok River
After a farm-fresh breakfast, we will hop back on our bikes and ride to Pangong Lake along the Indo-China border. The lake comprises of various shades of blue, green, and red. With the Shyok River on one side and majestic mountain views on the other, we will explore every corner of this stunning high-altitude saline lake. We will arrive at our campsite in the early evening for dinner, sunset views, and some Bollywood-style photo opportunities. Overnight in fixed tents, shared facilities.
Day 5: Chang La Pass
As the sun rises over the lake, we will have breakfast before hitting the road and riding through Chang La, our final high-altitude pass on the way back to Leh. We will visit the Changla Baba Temple and the Druk Padma School before returning to town for rest, dinner. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 6: Departure
Enjoy a leisurely morning with souvenirs shopping before heading to the airport for the flight back home.

Ride a motorbike or SUV for non-riders. Guide, mechanic, support vehicle available.

Bike riding, sightseeing, short trekking, getting amazed!
