About this Event
What do you get when a hillbilly master of ceremonies, an emotionally fragile musician, and a West Virginia-born comic share the same stage?
A Hillbilly Hootenanny.
In this original one-man show, Jeremy Plyburn performs multiple characters, blends live music with sketch video, and delivers stand-up comedy rooted in the strange poetry of growing up in Appalachia. The evening begins in chaos — a host who may be spiritually unqualified, a hooch-stealing Gopher, a music act like you have never seen — and slowly unfolds into sharp, funny, deeply human stories about family, faith, small towns, and the “hillbilly logic” that never quite leaves you.
Part theater. Part stand-up. Part bluegrass revival.
This is a comedy show that builds toward something bigger — loud, honest, and unexpectedly heartfelt.
