About the Friends: Our mission is to promote the conservation, appreciation, and sustainable enjoyment of the Middlesex Fells Reservation. We envision a Middlesex Fells Reservation where nature and people thrive in harmony, supported by a diverse and caring community conserving it for future generations. We are excited to offer free hikes for the Malden community to engage with the Fells and appreciate it! This hike is being offered in partnership with .
About the hike: We will meet at Fire Gate 55, at the start of the Jerry Jingle Road trail. This is at the intersection of Fellsway East and East Border Road (Google Maps location here).
We will explore the southeastern portion of the Fells and its various water features. If we have time, we may even be able to check out the Cascade! The trails are often rocky and involve some good ups and downs. Please be prepared for uneven surfaces and inclines.
Parking can be found on Fellsway East. Please use caution when crossing the road to get to the start of the trail. The hike starting point is also a 20-minute walk from the Oak Grove T Station on the Orange line and a 22-minute walk from the 132 bus stop at Washington Street and Stone Place intersection.
**Please do not register unless you can absolutely attend this hike. We often have waitlists and would like as many folks as possible to be able to attend.**
