Welcome to the Carpathians! If you love wild landscapes, mountains and if you like spending a day moving in the nature and breathing fresh cool air, then this hike is for you. Discover the beauty of the Carpathians with a nice and international group, guided by a certified mountain guide speaking English, French and Spanish. We bring fun and we create wonderful memories for our hikers. We invite you to a beautiful and medium-level hike in the mountains not far from Bucharest nor from Brașov: the stunning Vârghiș Gorges in Perșani Mountains. At the moment, Spring arrived in the mountains and there is a beautiful natural show with wild flowers, freshly green leaves and butterflies, so the woods look spectacular! You shouldn’t miss that! 😊 So tell your friends (expats or Romanians) and join us!🏔️
👨👨👧👦 Kids-friendly and teenager-friendly: since the level of difficulty is easy, this hike can be done by teenagers and/or kids of 10+ and it offers an interesting and educational perspective.
So families with children are welcome too.
📍 Where? Perșani mountains, the Gorges of Vârghiș (meeting in Brașov for those who need a ride in our van, or meet directly at the foot of the mountain – we will send the exact pinpoint after registration)
📅 When? Saturday June 20th
〽️ The route goes firstly along the river and through the enchanted forest. The gorges are famous for hosting more than 100 caves, of which you will visit 2 or 3 small ones (free entry). The trail takes you on the top of a plateau from where you can admire the gorges and the view 360 degrees around. The way down goes on a different trail, back to the starting point where you finish the loop.
🔝 Distance 11 km round trip, Elevation +350 m, -350 m, Level: easy and worth it!
