Join us for a delightful afternoon High Tea, along with a preview screening of the first full episode of the new MASTERPIECE series, The Forsytes, on Saturday, March 21 at 1pm.
Our elegant afternoon High Tea will feature an assortment of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, a variety of other delectable desserts and - of course - a selection of tea! Plus, a special guest speaker will discuss the setting and time period of the show, followed by a Q&A.
Prefer to attend just the screening? A limited number of FREE tickets are available for the 3pm screening only, but must be reserved through Eventbrite.
A bold, new reimagining from writer Debbie Horsfield (Poldark), The Forsytes chronicles the lives, loves, trials and triumphs of a wealthy Victorian era stockbroking family, whose generations find themselves torn between tradition and self-sacrifice versus personal happiness and the pursuit of love.

Desire, ambition and betrayal simmer at the heart of the sumptuous costume drama, The Forsytes. The series chronicles the trials and triumphs of a wealthy Victorian stockbroking family, whose generations find themselves torn between tradition and the personal pursuit of happiness. Inspired by John Galsworthy’s celebrated Forsyte Saga novels, The Forsytes portrays events that take place before those covered in Galsworthy’s books.
The stellar ensemble cast includes Francesca Annis (Flesh and Blood) as the formidable matriarch Ann, Stephen Moyer (Sexy Beast, True Blood) as Jolyon Forsyte Sr., Danny Griffin (Fate: The Winx Saga) as Jo Forsyte Jr., Tuppence Middleton (Downton Abbey: A New Era) as Frances Forsyte, and Eleanor Tomlinson (One Day, Poldark) as Louisa Byrne. Jack Davenport (The Morning Show, Ten Percent) stars as James Forsyte, Joshua Orpin (Titans) as Soames Forsyte, Millie Gibson (Doctor Who) as Irene Heron, and Tom Durant-Pritchard (This Is Going To Hurt, Miss Scarlet) as Monty Dartie.
In Epsiode 1, chance encounters for cousins Jo and Soames Forsyte, rival heirs to the family firm, throw their previously steady lives into disarray.
The Forsytes on Masterpiece premieres on BTPM PBS Sunday, March 22 at 9pm
