After sharpening their sound through multiple shows across Colorado & the Midwest, High Lonesome emerged from the studio with a debut album full of strong original tunes. Veteran Colorado bluegrass journalist John Lehndorff offered the album high praise in a recent review: “On its outstanding self-titled debut, Colorado’s High Lonesome band delivers an ear-grabbing update on modern bluegrass and Americana full of heart and hot licks. The album’s first single, “Old Familiar Song,” sounds like an undiscovered classic.” As reviewer John Lehndorff wrote: “High Lonesome is the latest breath of fresh music to spring from Colorado’s legendary bluegrass jam scene.”
High Lonesome is a multi-talented band featuring guitarist and singer Chuck Sitero and dobroist Dylan Kober with Neva Wilder on vocals and fiddle and mandonlin player and singer Josh Bergmann.
This year High Lonesome was named in Denver Westword’s – “Ten of the Top Colorado Bluegrass Bands” list, by Nick Hutchinson, along with some of their musical influences Hot Rize and Infamous Stringdusters. This will be one of their Colorado Front Range album release shows and not to be missed!
