Stovall shares the inspiring journeys of these pioneering business owners—revealing the immense challenges they faced and the enduring impact of their establishments. These spaces became vibrant hubs of Black culture where people could gather, find joy, and be their authentic selves.
Calvin Stovall is the Chief Experience Officer of ICONIC Presentations, LLC, specializing in dynamic customer experience and leadership presentations. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality and non-profit service industries, including roles as Vice President of Brand Marketing with Hilton Worldwide, CEO of The Soulsville Foundation, and brand marketing strategist with ALSAC (the fundraising arm for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital). He currently also serves as Director of Executive Programs at The Advanced Leadership Institute. Calvin earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University and his Master of Professional Studies from Cornell's Nolan School of Hotel Administration.
