About this Event
About Hidden Harvest
Hidden Harvest picks and shares fruit that would otherwise go to waste, through volunteer-led harvest events. The fruit is shared with volunteer pickers, the nearest food agency, and the tree owner.
Neighbourhood Leaders make sure this work happens. These volunteers connect with tree owners, organize and host harvest events, guide volunteer pickers, and coordinate donations to local food agencies.
Plus, there are perks! Neighbourhood Leaders can schedule harvests that fit their schedules and they get to enjoy a portion of the harvested fruit!
Our first In-person Neighbourhood Leader Training of 2026!
Join us on June 23 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm for a fun and interactive training session to find out more about what's involved in becoming a Neighbourhood Leader.
Want to help us organize more harvests across the city, and share more of the fresh, local bounty with our communities? At this event, you will have the opportunity to connect with other community members, dedicated Hidden Harvest volunteers, and EnviroCentre program staff to learn more about the role and how you can make a positive impact in your neighbourhood.
Whether you're a long-time volunteer who wants to get more involved, or it's new to you but you are curious to learn more, this training session is a great way to get started.
The presentation and Q&A will be in English.
