Hidden Gems of Bentley Walk
Discover the stories, people, and places that make Bentley special on this friendly walk through the village’s fascinating past.
Join us for a relaxed 2-hour guided walk, suitable for all levels of ability, taken at an easy conversational pace — perfect for anyone who enjoys a stroll, local history, and a good yarn.
2:15pm meet at the Bentley Book by the Memorial Hall.
Parking at the hall but spaces limited, car sharing encouraged.
£5 donation - cash on the day, proceeds to village projects.
Dogs on leads.
We’ll journey through Bentley’s history with stop-offs along the way, including The Old Rec, notable sights and tales along London Road, School Lane and Hole Lane. Along the route, you’ll hear entertaining stories, meet characters from Bentley’s past, and uncover some of the village’s hidden gems — all shared as an introduction to local history.
The walk finishes with a complimentary cuppa at St Mary’s, Bentley’s beautiful 12th-century church, before heading back to the hall.
