Starting at the Unicorn Pub at Heyshott, we will be taking a gentle approx. 3.6 mile walk, walking our way around the country lanes to Cocking before making our way back through fields and woodlands, where we can enjoy any bluebells that are out before making our way back to the starting point at the Unicorn Pub.There are lovely views across the patchwork hills of the Downs throughout and lots of wildlife to enjoy in the woodlands.
Please note that there is small sections of road walking on quite country lanes where we may meet a tractor or cyclist enroute and there are no refreshments enroute but The Unicorn Inn opens later in the morning if you were wanting to stay on to grab yourself a drink. (Open from 12pm)
As the walk has mixed terrains and can get a little muddy and wet in places after rain its a good idea to have good walking boots/shoes and maybe waterproof socks. There is one sloped part going into the woods off the field and care needs to be taken.
